Getting here

Plan your travel to the Hatton Gallery. Please help the environment and walk, cycle or use public transport whenever it’s possible for you to do so.

By Public transport

The Hatton Gallery is on Newcastle University campus in the heart of Newcastle city centre. It is a 5 minute walk from the Haymarket Metro Station and bus station. Haymarket Metro station is just two stops from Central Station the mainline rail station. Please contact the Nexus traveline on 0871 200 22 33 or visit the traveline website for more information about public transport.

Follow signs from Haymarket for the Great North Museum. Cross the road at the traffic lights at the top of Northumberland Street opposite the church and keep left. Cross the road at the next set of traffic lights on Barras Bridge and turn left at Campus Coffee (the King’s Gate building is on the right). Enter Newcastle University campus. Walk up the steps past the student union building on the left (Northern Stage is on the right) towards the double arches. Turn right and the Hatton Gallery is on your left.
