Harper Perry

Toby Paterson worked in collaboration with Newcastle-based architects Harper Perry to create the Hatton Pavilion

Harper Perry is a design studio based in the North East of England. They work across the fields of architecture, planning, design and research. They work at a range of scales from large-scale strategic planning and big ideas, to small-scale interventions and objects. Their aim is to always find the interesting, curious and unexpected potential within each project.

They relish the challenge of working to limited budgets and timescales, finding opportunity within these constraints and they take great satisfaction from the delivery of projects, often realised through the fruitful relationships they have developed along the way. They have worked for and collaborated with a variety of different people and organisations, from private clients to artists, publicly funded organisations and other designers and consultants.

As a practice they aim to extend the traditional role of the architect by working with, and learning from, our clients and the people they work with to find new ways of making and shaping the places in which we work and live.
