KS3, GCSE and A-Level students can be inspired by looking at and exploring the meaning of work by some of the leading British artists involved in the Pop Art movement such as Richard Hamilton, Peter Blake, Eduardo Paolozzi, David Hockney & Joe Tilson. The exhibition particularly focuses on the Independent Group and also the connections that staff at Newcastle University's Fine Art department had with the development of Pop Art.
Students will create their own pop art imagery based on the exhibition.
This workshop is 1 hour 30 mins in length, and is free of charge.
**Hatton is working with the Laing Art Gallery on their ARTiculate visual literacy project this year which will include a session in the Hatton's opening exhibition. Please follow the link for more details https://laingartgallery.org.uk/whats-on/articulate...
