About

For anyone with a love of (or mild curiosity about) comic book art and cartooning, come and have a go at making your own comic.

This workshop is led by Lydia Wysocki, Research Associate at Newcastle University and Comics Boss of Applied Comics Etc (www.appliedcomicsetc.com). Lydia will give a a brief talk on the relationship of comics art and narrative to the art of Roy Lichtenstein. Then it’s over to you to have a go at making comics inspired by the Hatton’s Lichtenstein exhibition.

All materials are provided, and the workshop is open to all levels, from 12 years to adult.

This event is free, but please book your place as space is limited.
